Waiting impatiently for The Maze Runner movie adaptation.
Shying from adulthood.
This scene always breaks my heart because it’s like Sam has been praying to God all his life, has clung to the idea that angels can be real, in the hope that he can find some form of salvation. So when he meets Castiel he yearns for acceptance; a reassurance that he can make his own path. Yet Castiel simply acknowledges the part of him that he wanted forgotten, and it’s like all the hope for redemption that Sam had built up over the years is crushed with one fleeting moment.
